Pnuematic Components Line Up

Pneumatic components are the physical parts that make up a pneumatic system. They use compressed air or gas to generate, control, and convert power into mechanical motion. Main parts include air compressors, FRL preparation units, control valves, actuators, and connecting hoses.

  • Air Source and Preparation
    • Air compressor: Pulls in outdoor air and squeezes it to create high-pressure energy.
    • Receiver tank: Stores the compressed air and keeps system pressure steady.
    • Filters: Remove dirt, water, and debris from the air line.
    • Regulators: Adjust and lock the air pressure at a safe, steady level.
    • Lubricators: Add a fine mist of oil into the air stream to reduce moving friction.
    Control Units
    • Directional control valves: Direct the path of airflow to start, stop, or change direction.
    • Flow control valves: Manage how fast air moves to control machine speed.
    • Pressure relief valves: Release extra air pressure to keep the system safe.
    Actuators and Outputs
    • Cylinders: Use air pressure to push or pull a rod in a straight line.
    • Rotary actuators: Turn compressed air pressure into circular or spinning motion.
    • Grippers: Act like mechanical fingers to clamp or hold items.
    Auxiliary Parts
    • Tubing and hoses: Flexible lines that carry air between different parts.
    • Fittings: Connectors that lock hoses to valves and cylinders without leaks.
    • Silencers: Mufflers placed on exhaust ports to lower loud air noise.

Reporting and Cost Control

 Tests covering basic gas laws, circuit symbols, valve port numbering (e.g., port 1 for supply, 3/5 for exhaust), and cylinder operations.

The basic info requested is loads. Later it would be calculated according to cylinder bore and pressure supplied with the extending or retract lengths

Valve is been chosen according to control methods and air cylinder acting.

All acessories need to install according to fittings thread's size and tubing sizes in the whole system.

The force been calculated by checking the pressure meter in MPa, bar, kg/fcm2 or psi, then  check the cylinder bore size and put in the below formula :

Ft = P × Au

where:

  • Ft — Theoretical force. It's theoretical as it doesn't consider friction and spring forces;
  • P — Pressure inside the cylinder; and
  • Au — Useful area in contact with the gas.
